Our Sanctuaries

Zuowang: a pioneering brand and devoted practitioner of Eastern healing retreat hotels.

Creating a Third Realm between the bustling world and the sacred realm of the temple, Zuowang is nestled in tranquil seclusion within the UNESCO World Heritage site of Mount Qingcheng in Dujiangyan, Sichuan. This is the birthplace of Li Bing’s Dujiangyan Irrigation System, an important giant panda habitat, and a revered birthplace of Daoism. Here, natural spirituality and cultural heritage converge to form a unique realm of heaven and earth for mind-body healing.

Weaving Eastern wisdom into every layer of its spatial design, the hotel inaugurates the Zuowang Twelve-Shichen Wellness Rhythm (“shichen” being the traditional twelve double-hours of the Chinese day), guiding modern people into a spiritual practice realm (dao-chang) — a spiritual realm of inner belonging and life-renewing healing.

Cisha Healing Studio

“Cisha” means “the present moment” — the only true moment for healing. Here you can experience handcraft activities including natural herb wands, magical essential oil blending, cosmic crystal energy painting, and crystal beading.

Xī Qū Pavilion

Built alongside a mountain stream, the pavilion invites you to sit and listen. The water moves — sometimes fast, sometimes slow — its voice unceasing.

Qīlù Sūtra House

“Qīlù” draws from the ancient tradition of hand-copying classical texts. Here, you may light incense, take up the brush, and transcribe sutras.

Zhèng Wù Hall

“Zhèng Wù” points to clear, luminous awareness. Guests may explore self-inquiry with tools guided by healing consultants: chakra crystals, Swiss sound beds, bio-photon energy scanners, and more.

Yǐn Shí Fāng (Restaurant)

“Yǐn” means returning to focus. Meals are taken in silence, each bite an act of noticing the ingredient’s true essence.
Opening Hours: Lunch 12:00 PM – 14:00 PM / Dinner 17:00 PM – 19:30 PM

Xīng Chén Pool

An open-air pool beneath the stars. As the body sinks into warm water, the skin knows the water’s warmth; the spirit resonates with starlight. In this moment, you return to the rhythm of all things.

Wēn Dù Tea House

Set beside gently flowing water, the tea house dances with light and shadow. Boiling water, placing tea, decanting the infusion — each gesture is simple and Zen-like.

Zhī Běi Terrace

“Zhī Běi” comes from the Zhuangzi chapter The Knowledge-Wandering North — a metaphor for wisdom that questions the deep and unknown. This terrace sits high and still, facing north.
